Atal Tinkering Lab @ DLDAVPP

Students at ATL, DLDAVMS,Pitam Pura got an oppurtunity to showcase their projects to parents during PTM on 13 Oct 2018.Students explained working and application of projects to visitors and received appreciation for their efforts.Parents applauded student's innovative skills and encouraged them to continue with their efforts.

Students of D.L.D.V.Model School bagged the opportunity to attend Inauguration of the First Assembly of International Solar Alliance held at Vigyan Bhawan on 2 October 2018.The inauguration was done by Honorable Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and Mr.Mr.Anotonio Guterres, Secretary General,United Nations.The students were a part of 100 students selected all over Delhi to showcase the solar lamps prepared by them to the dignitaries and highlight extent of usage of solar energy in India.It was indeed a proud moment for school as Pratibha Khullar of Class X got the opportunity to explain working of solar lamp prepared by them to distinguished dignitaries.She interacted with Honorable Prime Minister and was appreciated for her efforts.

Seven students of D.L.D.A.V Model School,PitamPura participated in Student Solar Ambassador Workshop Organised by IIT-Bombay on the occasion of 150 th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.Students were provided with kits, developed at IIT-B, to make Solar Lamps to promote the use of renewable sources of energy. They attended workshop conducted at D.A.V Public School,Vasant Kunj on 1 October 2018 where they got hands-on training by trainers from IIT-B to prepare lamps.The training sensitized students towards inclusion of use of renewable sources of energy in day to day activities.The students were part of a team of 1,00,000 who prepared lamps to make Guinness World Record.

The school will be hosting North Delhi Qualifiers of IRC (International Robotics Challenge) in November 2018.To prepare students for the same, training sessions were organized in the school premiseson 3rd and 4th October 2018. Students from around 12 schools all over Delhi-NCR participated in the sessions and got acquainted with the problem statement of the competition. The students also got an opportunity to interact with trainers from Avishkaar   Box. The training helped them to improvise their robots for the competition .Arenas were placed for students to practice to get the real feel of the qualifiers. The sessions proved to be beneficial for students as they were able to explore actual arena and sort their queries.

Teacher training workshop was organized in the school premises to sensitize teachers about the concept of Atal Tinkering Lab along with introduction to the components of the lab. The objective of the workshop was to provide hands-on demonstrations of the equipment  of the lab.The 4-day workshop was divided among different sessions.Each session provided opportunity  to work with different equipments like 3D printer,Robotics Kit, Arduino Uno board,sensors etc.
