Student Solar Ambassador Workshop


Seven students of D.L.D.A.V Model School,PitamPura participated in Student Solar Ambassador Workshop Organised by IIT-Bombay on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.Students were provided with kits, developed at IIT-B, to make Solar Lamps to promote the use of renewable sources of energy.
They attended workshop conducted at D.A.V Public School,Vasant Kunj on 1 October 2018 where they got hands-on training by trainers from IIT-B to prepare lamps.The training sensitized students towards inclusion of use of renewable sources of energy in day to day activities.The students were part of a team of 1,00,000 who prepared lamps to make Guinness World Record.

A proud moment for D.L.D.A.V Model School ,Pitam Pura as our ATL was inaugurated on 29 August 2018 by M r.Deepanshu,Expert,Atal Innovation Mission and Sh.Shrideep Omchery,Chairman of the school.The occassion was graced by members of LMC ,Alumni and Principals of DAV institutions.The project showcase included 3-D printing,innovative ideas which can be beneficial for community.The efforts of students were appreciated by all the guests attending the ceremony.The interaction between guests and students encouraged them to develop their skills and aim to design for community.Thanks to Principal Ma'am Ms.Anita Wadehra for continuous support and guidance.
