3rd India STEM Summit & Awards'20

  Our school bagged the Outstanding Initiative of the year in Robotics during 3rd India STEM Summit & Awards'20, organised by All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) on 13th Feb at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi.  The summit was inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of MSME, Road Transport and Highways. The Event included: .        Exhibition .        500 participants ·       Power packed Panel Discussions and Expert Talks by over 30 speakers from the Industry, Government and Academia ·       30 Awards in 4 categories with more than 500 nominations.

CBSE-IBM AI Enabled SEWA Programme

  Our school was shortlisted for the CBSE-IBM AI Enabled SEWA Programme for Students of class XI.   The programme involved a 3-hour online training on AI that was delivered by IBM’s implementation partner, 1M1B Foundation followed by a 3-hour AI Online Certification course on IBM's online platform.    Post the training, students were required to submit their idea for a solution using AI and Idea of Smart Sensors Safer Futures submitted by Arushi Garg of class XI - A was selected for mentoring by IBM experts and will compete to win an internship opportunity at IBM in 2021.

Summer Robotics Camp

  School has organized a “Virtual Summer Robotics Camp” from June 1- 15 2020 in collaboration with Stemrobo Technologies during summer vacations for classes II-XII . Under this, young students of class II and III have been introduced to Scratch programming and moving forward for Higher classes students are introduced to App Development and Artificial Intelligence and getting acquainted with Python Programming language. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Hwyjq8Ay4&feature=youtu.be

ATL Achievements 2020-21

  Sanchi Bansal a student of Class VII bagged IV position in International Kids Coding Competition 2020. Arjun Manocha of Class VI Cambridge has Bagged 1st runner up position along with a cash prize of 2500/- and Scholarship in Virtual Hackathon organised by Avishkaar Box  under Avishkaar League 2020 which was a world's Biggest online Robotics and Coding competition. Sanchi Bansal qualified to the National Final level of our annual youth fest, Harmony 2020 in the Magic with Colours competition. Arushi Garg, a student of class XI was selected for the Mentorship program for IBM AI project by 1b1m. Vedant Bhatia bagged II position and Swayam Arora student of class X bagged I position in ATL TinkerFest 2020 under Crossroads. Swayam Arora and Gautaum Gupta of Class X have been shortlisted for the Youth Leader  2020 – Stage 3 (Incorporate) under Harmony- Youth Leader 2020. India's Future Tycoons Season 2 Grand Finale

  From a pool of  7,100+ school children across 130 cities, and out of the top 24 teams, 2 teams were shortlisted for the finale from our school to ideate on innovative sustainable solutions for India’s Water Crisis. Water theme was focused on water availability & shortage, usage & wastage, cleaning & sanitation, transportation & shortage and so on UN GCNI was the Sustainability Partner and Niti Ayog’s Atal Innovation Mission was the Knowledge and Outreach Partner. The top 24 teams across the country presented their ideas to an eminent panel of jury consisting of Kamal Singh – Executive Director, UN GCNI; Nikhil Vora – Founder, Sixth Sense Ventures; Lina Ashar – Founder, Kangaroo Kids and Billabong High and Elizabeth Venkataraman – Marketing Head, Kotak Mahindra Bank. The chief guest for the finale was Dr Bhalchandra Mungekar – Ex Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University and President Ex MP of Rajya Sabha. Post Tinker Winter Camp

  The school organized a four day “Post Tinkers Winter Robotics Camp’ from 9 March to 13 March 2020 wherein students from Ngo Manthan also participated with the school students.The activities conducted during the camp introduced students to the Problem Solving skills, soldering techniques, creating web pages and making projects using arduino.  Mentor of Change Session:  A session on Program Development Life Cycle was taken up by Ms. Tanya Thukral , our Mentor of Change appointed by AIM on March 9’ 2020 wherein students were introduced to all the stages of development of a program from brainstorming to thinking of prototypes and coding as well as testing through various activities.They also talked about community level problems focusing on the latest CoronaVirus. ATL Online Community Day 2020

  Session 1 A webinar was organised for students  of the school as well as for the community in which various students from NGO Manthan SVK joined. The webinar was first in the row for ATL Community Day Celebration wherein we saw more than 105 students participating to learn. The focus of the webinar was to give the students a platform to start creating something of their own being it a 3D print, a scratch game,an app or talking about Python ,AI and machine learning . The session was in association with Stemrobo . It was an amazing learning experience for all of our students and was a pleasure that the Mantan students are continuously in touch with the school ATL. Virtual ATL Sessions

  An online session on introduction to Aerodynamics was conducted on April 5’ 2020 for students through the Zoom app which was attended  by 58 students. A session on 3D designing using TinkerCad was conducted April 10 2020 for students through the Zoom app which also had participation of more than 50  students.

Online Workshop IIT Delhi

  Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IIT Delhi and Rancho Labs - a startup by IIT Delhi students and professor, organized an Online Workshop on Robotics for School students to impart technical knowledge from the early stage of life. 10 students attended the workshop and were awarded Certificates.
